[PRESS RELEASE] Vitrium Systems Appoints Dennis Staples as Vice President of Sales

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada — June 14, 2006 — Vitrium Systems, a provider of digital rights management and lead generation technology and maker of protectedpdf™, a unique document tracking and security suite, today announced that Dennis Staples, Producer, EA Sports Licensing & Business Development at Electronic Arts, has joined Vitrium Systems as the Vice President of Sales.

"With more than a decade of educational sales and marketing achievement, Staples' ability to establish and manage international strategic relationships and sales teams and in-depth knowledge of licensing, and negotiating skills will help expand Vitrium's partner relationships and grow revenue," states Ron Unger, CEO, Vitrium Systems. "Staples is a veteran organizer and presenter at conferences in North America and abroad. He has a solid track record of growing revenue."

In 1994, Staples presented promotional events for Apple Canada at 15 major Canadian universities. During the next few years, he was responsible for managing partner relationships for Marketsource Corp, in Toronto, before moving to IBM Canada where he managed executive relationships and overall IBM business with universities in Ontario & British Columbia. He was recognized with IBM Golden Circle and WinAmericas awards in 1999 and 2001 for significant increases in revenue and outstanding customer satisfaction. By 2003, he had achieved six consecutive years of outstanding growth.

Shortly after Staples joined Silicon Chalk Inc., Vancouver, in 2003, as vice president of sales and marketing, the company had just made its first sale. By February 2005, 85 customers were on board across the U.S. and Canada.

Unger adds, "Staples is a communicator. He holds a degree in Psychology from McMaster University and was a former tennis professional. With an ability to connect with a diverse constituency, his technical knowledge and negotiating skills, Vitrium is ready for expansion."
